Jaguars DE, Austen Lane Interview
Austen Lane played college football at Murray State. He entered the 2010 NFL Draft, and was selected in the 5th round by the Jacksonville Jaguars. He is on the Jacksonville Jaguars roster. He got his first sack against the Saints in 2011, but was placed on IR later in the season. He is one of the funniest players on twitter, and he hopes to produce next season. Former NFL OL, Everett Lindsay Interview
Everett Lindsay played college football at Ole Miss. He earned 1st-Team All American Honors during his junior and senior year. He entered the 1993 NFL Draft, and was selected in the 5th round by the Vikings. He started his career playing for the Vikings, the Ravens, and the Browns, and then ended his career again with the Vikings. He played in 138 games and started 63 games during his time in the NFL. Retired Pro Bowl NFL fullback, Lorenzo Neal Interview
Lorenzo Neal played college football at Fresno State University. He entered the 1993 NFL Draft and was selected in the 4th round as a running back by the New Orleans Saints. He got injured in his career, so he made the switch to fullback. He was the lead blocker for great running backs like Corey Dillon, Eddie George, and LaDainian Tomlinson. He made the Pro Bowl four times in his career, and was the lead blocker for 11 straight 1,000 yard running backs. Check out our interview.
Bears RB/FB, Matt Suhey Interview
Matt Suhey played college football at Penn State. He entered the 1980 NFL Draft, and was selected in the 2nd round by the Chicago Bears. He played with the Bears from 1980 through 1989. He was the fullback for Walter Payton, and had a great relationship with fans off the field. He is often regarded as one of the best fullbacks in NFL history. Titans DT, Shaun Smith Interview
Shaun Smith played college football at South Carolina. He entered the 2003 NFL Draft, but went undrafted. He signed with the Dallas Cowboys and was a member of their practice squad. Throughout his career, he has played for the Saints, Bengals, Browns, Lions, and with the Chiefs. This interview was conducted mid-way through the 2010 NFL season. [UPDATE: In 2011, he signed with the Tennessee Titans. He posted 25 tackles, 1 sack, and 2 STFs this past year.]
Saints S, Usama Young Interview
Usama Young played college football at Kent State. He entered the 2007 NFL Draft and was selected in the 3rd round by the Saints. He was victorious in his lone Super Bowl appearance in 2009. While he was with the Saints, he totaled 105 tackles, 14 pass deflections, and three interceptions. This interview was conducted briefly after the 2010 NFL season. [UPDATE: He signed with the Cleveland Browns before the start of the 2011 season.]
Dolphins NT, Paul Soliai Interview
Paul Soliai played college football at the University of Utah. He earned second team all-MWC for his performance in his senior season. He entered the 2007 NFL Draft, and was drafted in the 4th round by the Miami Dolphins. He has totaled 97 tackles, 5 pass deflections, 11 STFs, and 2 sacks throughout his career. He received the franchise tag after the 2010 NFL season. This interview was conduced right before the 2010 NFL season ended.
Seahawks All-Pro KR, Leon Washington Interview
Leon Washington played college football for Florida State University. He then entered the 2006 NFL Draft, and was selected in the fourth round, 116th overall by the New York Jets. He played for the Jets for four years primarily as a kick returner, punt returner, and a scatback to share the load with the other running backs on the team. During the 2010 NFL Draft, LW was traded to the Seattle Seahawks. He continued his All-Pro play performance and was their primary kick returner. George Wrighster played college football for the University of Oregon. He then entered the 2003 NFL Draft, and was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 4th round, 103rd overall. He was a member of the Jaguars from 2003 through 2008. He was known for occasionally getting open, but also for his above-average blocking skills. This interview was conducted in the 2010 NFL season and this was when he was a member of the UFL, Las Vegas Locomotives. Read more
Redskins WR, Anthony Armstrong Interview
Anthony Armstrong played college football for West Texas A&M from 2002-2005. He never got a shot to play in the NFL, so he played in the Intense Football League, and the Arena Football League hoping to one day earn a spot in the NFL. In 2008, the Miami Dolphins came calling, and he earned a spot on their practice squad roster. In 2009, he was on it, before getting cut. Then, the Redskins signed him to their active roster. In 2010, he compiled 871 yards, 3 touchdowns, on 44 receptions. This interview was done in the middle of the 2010 NFL season.
Falcons S, Erik Coleman Interview
Erik Coleman played college football at Washington State. He entered the 2004 NFL Draft, and was selected in the 5th round by the New York Jets. He was very productive during his first three years in the league before suffering an injury. He compiled over 300 tackles in his first three years and also had 17 PBUs, and 7 interceptions. He became a member of the Falcons before the 2008 season, and was very productive. This interview was conducted during the 2010 NFL season. Phillip Daniels played college football at the University of Georgia. He entered the 1996 NFL Draft, and was selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the fourth round. He played for the Seahawks for four years, and then, for the Chicago Bears for four years. He signed with the Washington Redskins after that though, and was known for his pass rush ability and his special teams play. This interview was conducted as the 2010 NFL season was coming to an end. Jason McCourty attended Rutgers University, and was a great defensive back during his time there. He then entered the 2009 NFL Draft, and was selected in the 6th round by the Tennessee Titans. He has been a member of the Titans since. He has been getting consistently better every year, just like he did in college. This interview was conducted before the 2010 NFL season was over. Retired Ravens TE, Daniel Wilcox Interview (#50)
Daniel Wilcox was undrafted after the 2001 NFL Draft, but signed a contract with the New York Jets. In 2002, he became a Super Bowl Champion with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He remained on their roster in 2003. However, in 2004, he signed a contract with the Baltimore Ravens. He played tight end for the Ravens until the 2008 NFL season. Eagles fullback, Leonard Weaver Interview
Leonard Weaver played collegiately at Carson-Newman. He entered the 2005 NFL Draft, but went undrafted. He earned a spot from the Seattle Seahawks and was a member of their team and learned from all-time great fullback, Mack Strong. He was hurt during the 2006 NFL season, but played great in both the 2007 and 2008 seasons. He signed a contract in 2009 making him the highest paid fullback in NFL history.
