Why is Free Agent RB, DJ Ware available?

It doesn’t matter how you get in the league, it’s what you do once you’re in it. There are countless examples of players making an impact on Sundays who were not drafted to start off their NFL career: Texans running back Arian Foster, Broncos wide receiver Wes Welker,  Raiders wide receiver Josh Cribbs, Giants running back Ryan Grant, Bengals linebacker James Harrison, and Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz to name several. But there is also, current free agent Danny “DJ” Ware.

Eagles Pro Bowl DE, Jason Babin Interview

Jason Babin was a stud at Western Michigan and became a first round pick in 2004 by the Houston Texans. JB was a member of the Tennessee Titans in 2010, and earned his first Pro Bowl appearance after a 12.5 sack season. In the 2011 offseason, he signed a 5-year, $28 million contract with the Philadelphia Eagles. This season he had a career high 18 sacks and earned another Pro Bowl birth. Free Agent TE, Joel Gamble Interview

Joel Gamble played for Division II college called Shippensburg University up until the 2004 football season. He entered the 2005 NFL Draft, but went undrafted. He wasn’t offered a chance to play for an NFL team until he was given a chance four years later for the Philadelphia Eagles. After he was on the practice squad in 2009, he then was cut during the 2010 Browns season. Afterwards, he signed with the Tennessee Titans practice squad. This interview was done towards the end of the 2011 NFL season.

Bills S, Bryan Scott Interview

Bryan Scott played college football for the Penn State Nittany Lions and he entered the 2003 NFL Draft, and was drafted in the 2nd round, 55th overall by the Atlanta Falcons. He was a teammate of Michael Vick back in the day with the Falcons. He went through rough years in his career before finding a home in Buffalo. He has been with the Bills since 2007. Hall of Fame QB, Warren Moon Interview

Warren Moon was the Rose Bowl MVP in 1978. He played football in the CFL for the Edmonton Eskimos. He won five straight Grey Cup Championships. He then entered the NFL, signing with the Houston Oilers. He also played for the Vikings, Seahawks, and Chiefs in his career. He retired passing for over 49,000 yards and about 290 touchdowns. He is 4th all time in Passing Yards, and 6th all time in Passing TDs. He was inducted into both the Canadian Football Hall of Fame and the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Read more »

Earnest Byner wrote his fifth blog. Byner wrote this one specifically about what it was like for him to train to become a Super Bowl Champion. He actually became one when he was a member of the Washington Redskins. He references some things that have helped him guide his career and who he is. Thoughts of a Biker by Earnest Byner

Earnest Byner wrote his fourth blog article for Pro Interviews. Byner played professionally for thirteen years, and coached for fourteen years. When he was the running back coach of the Tennessee Titans, he helped Chris Johnson to a 2000-yard rushing season. He highly motivates the running backs that he coached. Buccaneers DE, Stylez White Interview

Stylez White played college football at University of Minnesota and after that, he entered the 2002 NFL Draft, and was drafted in the 7th round. He played for the Texans, Buccaneers, Falcons, Titans, Saints, Redskins, and Bears early in his carer. He then played in the AFL, and was the Defensive Player of the Year. After that, from 2007 to 2010 he played for the Buccaneers and totaled 137 tackles and 24 sacks. This interview was done in the spring of 2011.

Retired NFL RB, Super Bowl XXVI Champion, current Jaguars RB Coach, Earnest Byner Interview

Earnest Byner played college football at East Carolina University. He then entered the 1984 NFL Draft and was drafted in the tenth round. He played for the Browns for 7 years (84-88, 94-95), the Redskins for 5 years (89-93), and the Ravens for two years (96-97). He then worked in Player Personnel with the Ravens. Following that, he became the RB coach of the Redskins, then Titans, and Jaguars. He won Super Bowl XXVI with the Redskins. This interview was conducted before the 2011 NFL season when he was the Jacksonville Jaguars running back coach.

UFL Florida Tuskers C, Enoka Lucas Interview

Enoka Lucas played college football at the University of Oregon. He earned All Pac-10 honors during his junior and senior years. He was recognized as one of the best Pac-10 centers. He entered the 2007 NFL Draft, but went undrafted. He played for the Texans, Titans, and Cardinals. He was on the sideline during their Super Bowl appearance. He then played for the Florida Tuskers of the UFL for a couple of years, and became the starting center. He is now out of football. This interview was conducted shortly before the 2011 NFL season was over. Read more »

Former Titans WR, Bobby Sewall Interview

Bobby Sewall played college football at Brown University. He was one of the better wide receivers / running backs to come out of Brown in recent years. He entered the 2010 NFL Draft, but was undrafted. He signed with the Tennessee Titans and played with them throughout the preseason. He was cut before the regular season started. This interview was conducted mid-way through the 2010 NFL season. [UPDATE: He recently signed in the AFL with the Jacksonville Sharks.]
