
Bills Rookie DB, Don Unamba Interview
In the 2013 NFL Draft, DII All-American defensive back, Don Unamba went undrafted. Don Unamba attended Southern Arkansas University 2008 through 2012, and played during four of his five years there. At the end of the 2012 season, he was recognized as a DII All-American defensive back. He had great pre-draft measurables, but teams were skeptical of the transition from Southern Arkansas to the NFL. Patriots Rookie DB, Duron Harmon Interview
In the 2013 NFL Draft, the New England Patriots used one of their third round picks on former Rutgers defensive back, Duron Harmon. This was a surprise to many analysts and media members. He played four years during his time at Rutgers and was a great and versatile safety for the Scarlet Knights. In our interview, Harmon talks about his pre-draft experiences, such as his Pro Day to his teammates on the Patriots to how his time has been so far with the Patriots organization. The University of Miami Pro Day, Interviews Included
Back in the day, the University of Miami students would not take part in the NFL Combine. They would tell scouts to come watch them run drills in their backyard, at their school’s Pro Day. The U had a swagger about them. Today, with Head Coach Al Golden, the University of Miami is continuing to develop and mature football players down in Coral Gables. I attended my first ever Pro Day, and I was excited for the opportunity to talk to future stars in this league.

Jaguars S, Antwon Blake Interview
Antwon Blake played college football for the University of Texas-El Paso. He was known for playing the gunner role special teams. He also was one of the top defensive backs to come out of UTEP in years. During his collegiate career, he totaled about 137 tackles, one sack, two forced fumbles, and also had one interception. He entered the 2012 NFL Draft, but went undrafted, and then, he signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars. This interview was conducted before the 2012 NFL offseason. Read more

Virginia Tech NFL Draft Prospect FS, Eddie Whitley Interview
Eddie Whitley played college football at Virginia Tech University. During his time (2008-2011) at VT, he played in 54 games, and started 28 total. He started his career playing Special Teams, and then moved into the starting free safety role. He totaled 189 tackles, six tackles for loss, four interceptions, twelve pass deflections, and forced three fumbles. He has declared entry for the 2012 NFL Draft, and is projected to either be a seventh round or undrafted free agent. He could become a key Special Teamer. [UPDATE: EW earned a spot in the Dallas Cowboys’ 90-man roster.]

Iowa NFL Draft FS, Jordan Bernstine Interview
Jordan Bernstine played college football at the University of Iowa. He totaled 108 tackles, 1 interception, 3 tackles for loss in his entire career at Iowa. He had 30 KR for 713 yards and also compiled 83 tackles during his star-studded senior season. He is entering the 2012 NFL Draft, projected as a late-round selection or to go through undrafted. Bernstine is trying to separate himself from the other safeties in this class and has already worked out for Patriots, Eagles, 49ers, and Raiders.

Packers S, M.D. Jennings Interview
M.D. Jennings played college football at Arkansas State. He was known primarily for his cover skills and totaled 8 interceptions throughout his collegiate career. He entered the 2011 NFL Draft, but went undrafted. He signed with the Packers, and was one of four undrafted free agents to make their 53man roster. Jets FS, Eric Smith Interview
Eric Smith was a member of Michigan State Spartans from 2002 through 2005. He then entered the 2006 NFL Draft, and was drafted in the 3rd round, 97th overall by the New York Jets. He has been a safety on the Jets since, playing and starting both on special teams and on defense. Eric Smith has totaled over 200 tackles in the NFL, 19 pass deflections, and 1 sack. This interview was conducted before the 2011 NFL season.

UNC S, Deunta Williams Interview
Deunta Williams played college football at the University of North Carolina. He totaled 188 tackles and 12 interceptions during his collegiate career. He didn’t get to play during his senior season in college due to an NCAA rule violation. He entered the 2011 NFL Draft, but gave up his opportunity to play for a team due to an injury. Raiders CB, Walter McFadden Interview
Walter McFadden played college football for Auburn University. He started off playing Special Teams, but then became the starting cornerback for the Tigers. He entered the 2010 NFL Draft, and was selected in the 5th round, 138th overall by the Oakland Raiders. This interview as conducted before the 2010 NFL season. 49ers FS, Dashon Goldson Interview
Dashon Goldson played college football for Washington University. He was an all star safety for the Huskies and totaled almost 200 tackles in three years. He entered the 2007 NFL Draft, and was selected in the 4th round by the San Francisco 49ers. After his rookie season, he became a solid starter and has been a very important player in in the 49ers defense both in the run defense and pass defense games. Browns FS, Abe Elam Interview
Abe Elam grew up in Palm Beach, Florida. AE played collegiately at Kent State University and was used as a punt returner and as a safety. He entered the 2005 NFL Draft, but was undrafted. He then signed with the Miami Dolphins, but was cut. He then signed with the Dallas Cowboys. Afterwards, he became a member of the New York Jets, and then was traded to the Cleveland Browns during the 2009 NFL Draft in the “Mark Sanchez Trade”. This interview was conducted before the 2010 NFL season.

Cardinals FS, Kerry Rhodes Interview
Kerry Rhodes attended the University of Louisville and started in 19 games, but played in 44 games. He finished his career with 218 tackles, 1 sack, 11 interceptions, 19 pass deflections, 3 forced fumbles. He was drafted in the fourth round, 123rd overall by the New York Jets in the 2005 NFL Draft. He posted 326 tackles, 9 sacks, 42 pass deflections, and 15 interceptions with the Jets. The Jets traded him to the Arizona Cardinals for two picks in 2010.
