Lions Special Teams Ace, Isaiah Ekejiuba Interview

Isaiah Ekejiuba never played high school football, and only tried college football for the University of Virginia when he was first approached to try out for the team during his sophomore year. He had an immediate impact for the Cavaliers on Special Teams. He entered the 2005 NFL Draft, and signed as a UDFA with the Cardinals, but was cut. He then signed with the Oakland Raiders, and after a few weeks on the practice squad, he was promoted to the active roster. He played on Special Teams and in 2009, he was nominated to become a Pro Bowl alternate. [UPDATE: He was cut by the Raiders in the 2010 NFL offseason. He signed with the Detroit Lions.] Read more »

Raiders CB, Walter McFadden Interview

Walter McFadden played college football for Auburn University. He started off playing Special Teams, but then became the starting cornerback for the Tigers. He entered the 2010 NFL Draft, and was selected in the 5th round, 138th overall by the Oakland Raiders. This interview as conducted before the 2010 NFL season. Raiders S, Jerome Boyd Interview

Jerome Boyd was born in Los Angeles, California. JB played collegiately at the University of Oregon. He was a linebacker, but later made the switch the safety.  He accumulated 178 tackles, 18.5 tackles for loss, 8 pass deflections, and 6.5 sacks throughout his career with Oregon. He entered the 2009 NFL Draft, but was undrafted. He then earned a chance with the Oakland Raiders, and was placed on their practice squad in 2009. In 2010, he was cut by the Raiders. Ravens CB, Fabian Washington Interview

Fabian Washington attended the University of Nebraska to play college football. He earned playing time for the beginning of his freshman year. He started 35 games and finished with 11 interceptions and 38 pass deflections throughout his career. He entered the 2005 NFL Draft and was selected in the first round by the Oakland Raiders. He played with the Raiders for three years before being traded to the Baltimore Ravens. He played with the ravens another three years. This interview was conducted before the 2010 season.
