
08/09/13 – Dolphins vs. Jaguars
Often times, the first preseason game, both teams go in “dry” or without a gameplan. This tactic really allows for coaches to find players who can “play football” and see who separates themselves from the entire pact of new members on the team. This is the Dolphins second game this week, and they started game-planning earlier in the week. However, after interviewing Jaguars players, they didn’t organize a game-plan. Before the beginning of the game, the Dolphins had the advantage, and the final score with Miami ahead, 27-3, reflected just that.

8/7 Dolphins Camp, Thoughts and Interviews

Cardinals Punter, Dave Zastudil Interview
In 2012, Arizona Cardinals Punter, Dave Zastudil set a single-season record for most punts inside the 20 yard in NFL history with 46. In our interview, he discusses Larry Fitzgerald, “being the young guy”, Patrick Peterson, growing up and attending Browns games, and much more. Zastudil has been in the NFL since he was drafted in 2002 by the Baltimore Ravens. He has played for the Ravens, the Cleveland Browns, and the Arizona Cardinals. Jaguars Offensive Lineman, Will Rackley Interview
Will Rackley played high school football with current Bills offensive lineman, Cordy Glenn. He decided to continue his collegiate career at Lehigh University. He is one of few players in the school’s history to start every game in the four years. He earned First-Team All-Patriot League honors three times in college. He was selected 76th overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2011 NFL Draft. Rackley was part of an offensive line that helped Maurice Jones-Drew lead the NFL in rushing in 2011. Read more

Free Agent DB, Reggie Jones Interview
Reggie Jones played college football at Idaho and Portland State. He entered the 2009 NFL Draft, but went undrafted. He signed a free agent contract with the New Orleans Saints. He was placed on IR after getting injured in camp. In 2010, he signed with the Redskins and was on the team for preseason. In 2011, he signed with the Vikings Practice Squad, and recently signed a future/reserve contract. This interview was conducted actually before the 2011 NFL season.

Hall of Fame QB, Warren Moon Interview
Warren Moon was the Rose Bowl MVP in 1978. He played football in the CFL for the Edmonton Eskimos. He won five straight Grey Cup Championships. He then entered the NFL, signing with the Houston Oilers. He also played for the Vikings, Seahawks, and Chiefs in his career. He retired passing for over 49,000 yards and about 290 touchdowns. He is 4th all time in Passing Yards, and 6th all time in Passing TDs. He was inducted into both the Canadian Football Hall of Fame and the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Read more

Panthers DL, Terrell McClain Interview
Terrell McClain played college football at the University of South Florida from 2007 through 2010. He was nominated 1st team All-Big East after a stellar senior season. During his time at USF, he totaled 89 tackles, 17 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, 10 QB hurries, 1 pass breakup, 2 forced fumbles, and 1 fumble recovery. He was drafted in the 3rd round by the Panthers of the 2011 NFL Draft. During his rookie season, he totaled 19 tackles and 1 sack. Click here to check out the interview that we did. Former NFL QB, Gibran Hamdan Interview
Gibran Hamdan played college football at Indiana University. He entered the 2003 NFL Draft and was drafted in the 7th round. He played in NFL Europe and also was a backup for many NFL teams such as the Redskins, Seahawks, 49ers, Bills. He ended his career with the CFL. He started his own clothing line called, ‘Alial Fital’ and he talks about it in our interview conducted in March of 2011.

Pro Bowl, Eagles QB, Mike Vick Interview
Michael Vick played quarterback for Virginia Tech in 1999 and 2000. He entered the 2001 NFL Draft and was selected as the first overall pick by the Atlanta Falcons. He played for them from 2001-2006, and set numerous records, and was arguably one of the greatest dual-threat quarterbacks of all time. After being arrested, MV served 23 months in prison, but is working hard to repair his image. He signed a contract with the Eagles and earned a tiny amount of playing time during his first year back. [UPDATE: He has worked his way back to the starting quarterback position with the Eagles, and is now their starting quarterback.] Read more

Jets QB, Erik Ainge Interview
Erik Ainge played Quarterback for four years for the University of Tennessee. He was an all star running back for the Orange. He entered the 2008 NFL Draft, and was selected in the 5th round, 162nd overall by the New York Jets. He played in the preseason for the Jets in 2008 and 2009. He was their backup quarterback. He competed with other quarterbacks on the roster and ended up earning the final spot with the team.[UPDATE: He retired from the NFL in 2011.] Read more

Dolphins WR, Brian Hartline Interview
Brian Hartline played wide receiver for the Ohio State University for three years. He was very productive throughout his time there. He entered the 2009 NFL Draft, and was selected in the 4th round by the Miami Dolphins. During his rookie season, he totaled 31 receptions for 506 yards and three touchdowns.
