8/7 Dolphins Camp, Thoughts and Interviews

The Dolphins held practice yesterday at Nova Southeastern University. Check out this article for my thoughts on Dolphins camp, the team, and also for some great interviews. Dolphins OTAs on 5/29, Interviews Included

I have been to training camps and games before, but I have never before covered an OTA. I had a lot to learn, and learn quickly. The way the Miami Dolphins practice is fast and intense. They have multiple players going head-to-head on different teams battling each other. Even with the speed, it was hard to not notice, that if a coach were teaching a player, he would immediately slow down and tell the player what to do, and how to do. Read more »

We’re Back! Bears Offensive Lineman, Derek Dennis Interview

Derek Dennis didn’t start playing football until he was a junior in high school. He ended up playing in 49 games in his career at Temple University. He earned 36 starts on the offensive line, and was signed by the Miami Dolphins after the NFL Draft. He recently just signed a futures’ contract with the Bears. Dennis talks about what it was like to be shown on the first episode of 2012 Miami Dolphins HBO’s Hard Knocks! Make sure you check it out, enjoy reading the first interview back from a little break. Dolphins DB, Nolan Carroll Interview

Nolan Carroll played college football at the University of Maryland. He played in 38 games, with six starts during his career. He totaled 61 tackles, and 9 pass breakups and he started only two games during his senior season because of a severe injury that he suffered. He entered the 2010 NFL Draft, and was selected in the 5th round, 145th overall by the Miami Dolphins. In his two years with the Dolphins, he has totaled 35 tackles, six pass deflections, and two interceptions. He has been a stud as a gunner on Special Teams. This interview was done after the 2011 NFL season.
