Daniel Wilcox was undrafted after the 2001 NFL Draft, but signed a contract with the New York Jets. In 2002, he became a Super Bowl Champion with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He remained on their roster in 2003. However, in 2004, he signed a contract with the Baltimore Ravens. He played tight end for the Ravens until the 2008 NFL season. Mike Pettine played safety at the University of Virginia in the 1980s. He then decided that he wanted to coach football. He coached high school football from 1996 through 2001. He then joined the Ravens Coaching staff with Rex Ryan and they became instant friends as they both worked together on the defensive line. He was a member of the Ravens’ staff from 2002 through 2008. He left to become the Defensive Coordinator of the New York Jets when Rex Ryan (the Ravens’ DC) left to become the Head Coach of the New York Jets. Abe Elam grew up in Palm Beach, Florida. AE played collegiately at Kent State University and was used as a punt returner and as a safety. He entered the 2005 NFL Draft, but was undrafted. He then signed with the Miami Dolphins, but was cut. He then signed with the Dallas Cowboys. Afterwards, he became a member of the New York Jets, and then was traded to the Cleveland Browns during the 2009 NFL Draft in the “Mark Sanchez Trade”.
