The Combine by Adam Carriker

In the end of February, Adam Carriker decided to write blog articles for Pro Interviews. Carriker played collegiately for the Nebraska Cornhuskers. He was selected in the 1st round of the 2007 NFL Draft by the St. Louis Rams. He was then traded in 2010 to the Washington Redskins. He’s been a member of the Redskins since. He writes about what his combine experience was like before the 2007 NFL Draft. It’s a great read for his first blog!

Redskins DE, Adam Carriker Interview

Adam Carriker attended the University of Nebraska and was nominated for numerous awards during his junior and senior seasons like First-Team All-Big 12 and Big 12 DL of the Year. He indirectly served as someone Ndamukong Suh looked up to. He entered the 2007 NFL Draft, and was selected 13th overall by the St. Louis Rams. He then was traded to the Washington Redskins. This most recent season, he totaled 34 tackles, and 5.5 sacks. He signed a contract extension with the Washington Redskins.

Colts MLB, Pat Angerer Interview recapping the 2011 season

Pat Angerer entered the 2010 NFL Draft, and was drafted in the 2nd round, 63rd overall by the Indianapolis Colts. He totaled eighty-eight tackles last year, one sack, one forced fumble, and two pass breakups last year. Angerer started every game in 2011 for the Colts and finished 4th in the league with 148 tackles, 1 sack, 1 interception, 3 pass breakups, and 2 forced fumbles. Saints DB, Cord Parks Interview

Cord Parks played college football at Northeastern University. He totaled 171 tackles and 12 pass deflections throughout his collegiate carer. He also participated and ran track at Northeastern too. He entered the 2009 NFL Draft, but went undrafted. He signed with the St. Louis Rams. He has been a member of the Seattle Seahawks and Minnesota Vikings also. In the end of 2011, he signed with the New Orleans Saints.

Bears LB, J.T. Thomas Interview

J.T. Thomas played college football at West Virginia. He played linebacker and while he was there he totaled 202 tackles, 12 pass deflections, 5.5 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, and 1 interception. He entered the 2011 NFL Draft, and was drafted in the 6th round by the Chicago Bears. He was placed on IR before the season started due to a back injury. He is planning on make a strong return to the NFL next year. This interview was conducted after the 2011 NFL season.

Free Agent DB, Reggie Jones Interview

Reggie Jones played college football at Idaho and Portland State. He entered the 2009 NFL Draft, but went undrafted. He signed a free agent contract with the New Orleans Saints. He was placed on IR after getting injured in camp. In 2010, he signed with the Redskins and was on the team for preseason. In 2011, he signed with the Vikings Practice Squad, and recently signed a future/reserve contract. This interview was conducted actually before the 2011 NFL season.

Jets Special Team Ace, Nick Bellore Interview

Nick Bellore played college ball at Central Michigan. After going undrafted in 2011, he trained on his own throughout the entire NFL Lockout. He signed with the Jets for Training Camp and ended up making their final 53-man roster. Bills S, Bryan Scott Interview

Bryan Scott played college football for the Penn State Nittany Lions and he entered the 2003 NFL Draft, and was drafted in the 2nd round, 55th overall by the Atlanta Falcons. He was a teammate of Michael Vick back in the day with the Falcons. He went through rough years in his career before finding a home in Buffalo. He has been with the Bills since 2007. 49ers FB, Bruce Miller Interview

Bruce Miller played college football at the University of Central Florida. He was the Conference-USA Defensive Player of the Year for his phenomenal senior season. He entered the 2011 NFL Draft, and was drafted in the 7th round by the San Francisco 49ers. Coach Jim Harbaugh decided to switch him to fullback, and he talks about the adjustment. Packers S, M.D. Jennings Interview

M.D. Jennings played college football at Arkansas State. He was known primarily for his cover skills and totaled 8 interceptions throughout his collegiate career. He entered the 2011 NFL Draft, but went undrafted. He signed with the Packers, and was one of four undrafted free agents to make their 53man roster. He is going to be a stud for the Packers in the future. Check out our interview that was done early in the 2011 NFL season.

49ers Safety, Chris Maragos Interview

Chris Maragos first went to Western Michigan University to play college football, and then transferred to play at what he calls his dream school growing up, the University of Wisconsin. He went undrafted after the 2010 NFL Draft. He signed with the 49ers as a UDFA, and made the team’s practice squad in the 2010. He most recently signed with the Seattle Seahawks after being cut by the 49ers. This interview was conducted before the 2011 NFL season.

Jets FS, Eric Smith Interview

Eric Smith was a member of Michigan State Spartans from 2002 through 2005. He then entered the 2006 NFL Draft, and was drafted in the 3rd round, 97th overall by the New York Jets. He has been a safety on the Jets since, playing and starting both on special teams and on defense. Eric Smith has totaled over 200 tackles in the NFL, 19 pass deflections, and 1 sack. This interview was conducted before the 2011 NFL season.

Hall of Fame QB, Warren Moon Interview

Warren Moon was the Rose Bowl MVP in 1978. He played football in the CFL for the Edmonton Eskimos. He won five straight Grey Cup Championships. He then entered the NFL, signing with the Houston Oilers. He also played for the Vikings, Seahawks, and Chiefs in his career. He retired passing for over 49,000 yards and about 290 touchdowns. He is 4th all time in Passing Yards, and 6th all time in Passing TDs. He was inducted into both the Canadian Football Hall of Fame and the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Read more »

Bengals LB, Vincent Rey Interview

Vincent Rey played college football at Duke University. He totaled 330 tackles, 28 tackles for a loss, 5.5 sacks, 3 interceptions, 3 fumble recoveries for TDs during his collegiate career. He entered the 2010 NFL Draft, but went undrafted. He signed with the Cincinnati Bengals and in 2011, he became a key player for their Special Teams unit. UNC S, Deunta Williams Interview

Deunta Williams played college football at the University of North Carolina. He totaled 188 tackles and 12 interceptions during his collegiate career. He didn’t get to play during his senior season in college due to an NCAA rule violation. He entered the 2011 NFL Draft, but gave up his opportunity to play for a team due to an injury.
