Broncos WR, Quan Cosby Interview
Quan Cosby grew up playing both baseball and football. After high school, he decided to pursue his dreams playing baseball and played for the Anaheim Angels from 2001 through 2005. He then went bak to college to pursue his love for football and went to the University of Texas from 2005 through 2008. He entered the 2009 NFL Draft, but didn’t get drafted. He signed with the Cincinnati Bengals, and he’s been primarily used as a kick returner and punt returner in the NFL. This interview was conducted the week before he got cut by the Denver Broncos. He ended up signing with the Indianapolis Colts.

Akbar Gbaja-Biamila wrote his second article for all of us. Gbaja-Biamila talks about his defensive coordinator, Wade Phillips and his linebacker coach, Greg Manusky’s impact on him and his approach to the game. Akbar Gbaja-Biamila wrote his first article for Pro Interviews. Gbaja-Biamila played collegiately, for the San Diego State Aztecs, and then professionally, for the Miami Dolphins, Oakland Raiders, and the San Diego Chargers. He is brothers with Packers great, Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila. AGB wrote about the preparation of an athlete for life after the NFL. Saints S, Usama Young Interview
Usama Young played college football at Kent State. He entered the 2007 NFL Draft and was selected in the 3rd round by the Saints. He was victorious in his lone Super Bowl appearance in 2009. While he was with the Saints, he totaled 105 tackles, 14 pass deflections, and three interceptions. This interview was conducted briefly after the 2010 NFL season. [UPDATE: He signed with the Cleveland Browns before the start of the 2011 season.]
Redskins Special Teams and DE, currently Director of Player Development, Phillip Daniels Interview
Phillip Daniels played college football at the University of Georgia. He entered the 1996 NFL Draft, and was selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the fourth round. He played for the Seahawks for four years, and then, for the Chicago Bears for four years. He signed with the Washington Redskins after that though, and was known for his pass rush ability and his special teams play. This interview was conducted as the 2010 NFL season was coming to an end. Retired NFL DE/OLB, Akbar Gbaja-Biamila Interview
Akbar Gbaja-Biamila played defensive end for the San Diego State Aztecs from 1998 through 2002. He entered the 2003 NFL Draft, but went undrafted. He signed with the Oakland Raiders and played with them in 2003 and 2004. He then signed with the San Diego Chargers in 2005, the Miami Dolphins in 2006, and then back with the Oakland Raiders in 2007.
