Jets FB, John Conner Interview

John Conner played college football at the University of Kentucky. He was considered one of the best and most complete fullbacks going into his senior season. He entered the 2010 NFL Draft, and was drafted in the 5th round by the Jets. He was the backup behind Tony Richardson during his rookie season. In 2011, he earned the starting role and is the only fullback on the NY Jets roster. This interview was conducted after the 2010 NFL season.

Retired NFL RB, Super Bowl XXVI Champion, current Jaguars RB Coach, Earnest Byner Interview

Earnest Byner played college football at East Carolina University. He then entered the 1984 NFL Draft and was drafted in the tenth round. He played for the Browns for 7 years (84-88, 94-95), the Redskins for 5 years (89-93), and the Ravens for two years (96-97). He then worked in Player Personnel with the Ravens. Following that, he became the RB coach of the Redskins, then Titans, and Jaguars. He won Super Bowl XXVI with the Redskins. This interview was conducted before the 2011 NFL season when he was the Jacksonville Jaguars running back coach.

Jaguars DE, Austen Lane Interview

Austen Lane played college football at Murray State. He entered the 2010 NFL Draft, and was selected in the 5th round by the Jacksonville Jaguars. He is on the Jacksonville Jaguars roster. He got his first sack against the Saints in 2011, but was placed on IR later in the season. He is one of the funniest players on twitter, and he hopes to produce next season. Seahawks All-Pro KR, Leon Washington Interview

Leon Washington played college football for Florida State University. He then entered the 2006 NFL Draft, and was selected in the fourth round, 116th overall by the New York Jets. He played for the Jets for four years primarily as a kick returner, punt returner, and a scatback to share the load with the other running backs on the team. During the 2010 NFL Draft, LW was traded to the Seattle Seahawks. He continued his All-Pro play performance and was their primary kick returner. Redskins WR, Anthony Armstrong Interview

Anthony Armstrong played college football for West Texas A&M from 2002-2005. He never got a shot to play in the NFL, so he played in the Intense Football League, and the Arena Football League hoping to one day earn a spot in the NFL. In 2008, the Miami Dolphins came calling, and he earned a spot on their practice squad roster. In 2009, he was on it, before getting cut. Then, the Redskins signed him to their active roster. In 2010, he compiled 871 yards, 3 touchdowns, on 44 receptions. This interview was done in the middle of the 2010 NFL season.

Retired Ravens TE, Daniel Wilcox Interview (#50)

Daniel Wilcox was undrafted after the 2001 NFL Draft, but signed a contract with the New York Jets. In 2002, he became a Super Bowl Champion with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He remained on their roster in 2003. However, in 2004, he signed a contract with the Baltimore Ravens. He played tight end for the Ravens until the 2008 NFL season. He was known for his red-zone production. DW caught Joe Flacco’s first ever NFL touchdown pass. Check out our interview that was done in 2010, looking back on his career. Read more »

Eagles fullback, Leonard Weaver Interview

Leonard Weaver played collegiately at Carson-Newman. He entered the 2005 NFL Draft, but went undrafted. He earned a spot from the Seattle Seahawks and was a member of their team and learned from all-time great fullback, Mack Strong. He was hurt during the 2006 NFL season, but played great in both the 2007 and 2008 seasons. He signed a contract in 2009 making him the highest paid fullback in NFL history. Pro Bowl, Eagles QB, Mike Vick Interview

Michael Vick played quarterback for Virginia Tech in 1999 and 2000. He entered the 2001 NFL Draft and was selected as the first overall pick by the Atlanta Falcons. He played for them from 2001-2006, and set numerous records, and was arguably one of the greatest dual-threat quarterbacks of all time. After being arrested, MV served 23 months in prison, but is working hard to repair his image. He signed a contract with the Eagles and earned a tiny amount of playing time during his first year back. Great LSU WR, Demetrius Byrd Interview

Demetrius Byrd played wide receiver for Louisiana State University. He first started playing at Pearl River Junior College and was a complete stud. He then played for LSU in 2008 and 2009 totaling over 1000 receiving yards, 11 touchdowns, and had 72 receptions. He entered the 2009 NFL Draft, but was selected in the 7th round by the San Diego Chargers. When he was drafted, he was in a coma after suffering a serious car accident. He signed with the San Diego Chargers, and was placed on the non-football injury reserve list. This interview was conducted before the 2010 NFL season. Read more »

Chargers DB, Traye Simmons Interview

Traye Simmons first played junior college at the College of the Sequoias. He then transferred to play for the University of Minnesota. He entered the 2010 NFL Draft, but actually went undrafted. He signed a undrafted free agent contract with the San Diego Chargers. He didn’t end up making the final roster and was cut right after the Chargers’ preseason. Ravens DT, Arthur Jones Interview

Arthur Jones played on the defensive line for Syracuse University. He established himself as one of the best defensive lineman in Syracuse history. AJ entered the 2010 NFL Draft and was selected in the 5th round by the Baltimore Ravens. This interview was conducted before the 2010 NFL season, and actually some of these questions were asked and answered in person on his college campus. Vikings WR, Freddie Brown Interview

Freddie Brown played wide receiver for the University of Utah. He was very productive during his senior season accumulating 77 receptions, 900 yards, and 7 touchdowns. He entered the 2009 NFL Draft, and was selected 224th overall by the Cincinnati Bengals. He made the Bengals practice squad during his rookie season.
