Retired NFL G, Tutan Reyes Interview
Tutan Reyes played on the offensive line at the University of Ole Miss. He entered the 2000 NFL Draft, and was selected in the 5th round by the New Orleans Saints. He played with the Saints from 2000-2002, and then, TR had a brief stint with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2002. Then, Reyes signed with Carolina Panthers and played with them from 2002-2005, and after that he was with the Bills in 2006. He played for the Jaguars from 2007 through 2009, and then had two tryouts left with the Giants and the Texans but they didn’t seem to work out. Retired NFL DE/OLB, Akbar Gbaja-Biamila Interview
Akbar Gbaja-Biamila played defensive end for the San Diego State Aztecs from 1998 through 2002. He entered the 2003 NFL Draft, but went undrafted. He signed with the Oakland Raiders and played with them in 2003 and 2004. He then signed with the San Diego Chargers in 2005, the Miami Dolphins in 2006, and then back with the Oakland Raiders in 2007. Seahawks LB, Anthony Heygood Interview
Anthony Heygood played as a linebacker and on Special Teams for Purdue University. He had a great senior season with 114 tackles. He entered the 2009 NFL Draft, but actually went undrafted. He signed a undrafted free agent contract with the Carolina Panthers after the draft. He was waived by the Panthers in the 2009 season, but signed with the Seattle Seahawks and was cut right before camp ended. [UPDATE: He was placed on the Seahawks’ Injured Reserve list during the 2010 NFL season.] Read more
Panthers RB, Tyrell Sutton Interview
Tyrell Sutton played running back for Northwestern University. He earned playing time all four years while he was there. TS entered the 2009 NFL Draft, but went undrafted. He signed a UDFA contract with the Green Bay Packers and during the preseason he played very well, but was still cut by the Green Bay Packers. He then signed with the Carolina Panthers. He returned kicks, ran the ball, and also caught passes out of the backfield. This interview was conducted in the early part of the 2010 NFL season. Retired Pro Bowl, All-Pro G, Alan Faneca Interview
Alan Faneca played guard for three years at LSU. He left early after totaling over 200 pancakes before his senior season. He entered the 1998 NFL Draft, and was selected 24th overall by the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was 1st-team All Pro and a Pro Bowl selection every year from 2001 through 2007. He helped lead them to a Super Bowl victory, and had a key pull block that sprung Willie Parker to a 75-yard touchdown run. He was a Pro Bowler with the New York Jets in 2008 and 2009. He had a brief stint with the Arizona Cardinals. [UPDATE: He retired with nine All-Pro awards, nine Pro Bowl awards, and one Super Bowl title.] Read more
Vikings DE, Brian Robison Interview
Brian Robison played defensive end for the University of Texas from 2003 through 2006. He established himself a great pass rush threat. BR entered the 2007 NFL Draft, and was selected early in the 4th round by the Minnesota Vikings. He has been a backup to Jared Allen throughout his career, but still brings a great pass rush to the Vikings Defensive Line. This interview was conducted before the 2010 NFL season. Ernest Smith played wide receiver for Baylor University. After earning playing time throughout his four years at Baylor, ES entered the 2010 NFL Draft, but went undrafted. Bears DT, Tommie Harris Interview
Tommie Harris played college football at Oklahoma University. He was a complete stud and then, he entered the 2004 NFL Draft and was selected 14th overall by the Chicago Bears. He was a member of the Bears from 2004 through 2010 compiling approximately 25 sacks, 200 tackles, and about 30 tackles for loss. This interview was conducted before the 2010 NFL season. [UPDATE: Since he was cut by the Bears, he signed with the Indianapolis Colts. After that, he was cut and then signed with the San Diego Chargers. He was recently cut by the Chargers.] Read more
Chargers RB, Curtis Brinkley Interview
Curtis Brinkley played college football for Syracuse University. He was an all star running back for the Orange. He entered the 2009 NFL Draft, but went undrafted. He signed with the San Diego Chargers, and didn’t end up making the final roster. He then signed with the Chargers’ practice squad. Throughout his rookie season he mixed between the active 53-man roster and practice squad. [UPDATE: He has earned more playing time as he career has gone on. Ali Highsmith played college football for Louisiana State University. He was a Butkus award semifinalist during his junior and senior year. In 2007, he was First-Team All-SEC. He entered the 2008 NFL Draft, but went undrafted. He signed with the Arizona Cardinals, appearing in six games during his rookie season. In 2009, he signed with the practice squad. He most recently signed a future contract. This interview was conducted before the 2010 NFL season. [UPDATE: He was waived by the AZ Cardinals, and then signed with the San Diego Chargers. Samie Parker played college football for the University of Oregon. He was one of Kellen Clemens’ favorite wide receiver targets, and was known as a tremendous deep threat. He entered the 2004 NFL Draft, and was selected in the 4th round by the Kansas City Chiefs. SP played four seasons with the Chiefs, and then bounced around the NFL with different teams. Lions Special Teams Ace, Isaiah Ekejiuba Interview
Isaiah Ekejiuba never played high school football, and only tried college football for the University of Virginia when he was first approached to try out for the team during his sophomore year. He had an immediate impact for the Cavaliers on Special Teams. He entered the 2005 NFL Draft, and signed as a UDFA with the Cardinals, but was cut. He then signed with the Oakland Raiders, and after a few weeks on the practice squad, he was promoted to the active roster. He played on Special Teams and in 2009, he was nominated to become a Pro Bowl alternate. [UPDATE: He was cut by the Raiders in the 2010 NFL offseason. He signed with the Detroit Lions.] Read more
Auburn RB, Ben Tate Interview
Ben Tate was born in Woolbridge, Virginia and played high school football at two different high schools in Maryland. He was known around the state for his amazing ability and talent. BT played collegiately in 37 games at Auburn University. He was a running back for Auburn and totaled 678 attempts, 3321 rushing yards, and 24 touchdowns. He declared entry for the 2010 NFL Draft, and his future NFL team has to be determined. This interview was conducted before the 2010 NFL Draft.
Stony Brook RB, Conte Cuttino Interview
Conte Cuttino was an all-state running back in high school. He attended Stony Brook University in New York. During his time at Stony Brook, he had 31 starts, 3,607 rushing yards, and 19 rushing touchdowns. He ran a 4.5 forty yard dash during his Pro Day. CC entered the 2010 NFL Draft, and his future is undetermined. This interview was conducted before the 2010 NFL Draft.
