Patriots Rookie DB, Duron Harmon Interview
In the 2013 NFL Draft, the New England Patriots used one of their third round picks on former Rutgers defensive back, Duron Harmon. This was a surprise to many analysts and media members. He played four years during his time at Rutgers and was a great and versatile safety for the Scarlet Knights. In our interview, Harmon talks about his pre-draft experiences, such as his Pro Day to his teammates on the Patriots to how his time has been so far with the Patriots organization. Saints S, Usama Young Interview
Usama Young played college football at Kent State. He entered the 2007 NFL Draft and was selected in the 3rd round by the Saints. He was victorious in his lone Super Bowl appearance in 2009. While he was with the Saints, he totaled 105 tackles, 14 pass deflections, and three interceptions. This interview was conducted briefly after the 2010 NFL season. [UPDATE: He signed with the Cleveland Browns before the start of the 2011 season.]
Eagles fullback, Leonard Weaver Interview
Leonard Weaver played collegiately at Carson-Newman. He entered the 2005 NFL Draft, but went undrafted. He earned a spot from the Seattle Seahawks and was a member of their team and learned from all-time great fullback, Mack Strong. He was hurt during the 2006 NFL season, but played great in both the 2007 and 2008 seasons. He signed a contract in 2009 making him the highest paid fullback in NFL history. Seahawks LB, Anthony Heygood Interview
Anthony Heygood played as a linebacker and on Special Teams for Purdue University. He had a great senior season with 114 tackles. He entered the 2009 NFL Draft, but actually went undrafted. He signed a undrafted free agent contract with the Carolina Panthers after the draft. He was waived by the Panthers in the 2009 season, but signed with the Seattle Seahawks and was cut right before camp ended. Jets Defensive Coordinator, Mike Pettine Interview
Mike Pettine played safety at the University of Virginia in the 1980s. He then decided that he wanted to coach football. He coached high school football from 1996 through 2001. He then joined the Ravens Coaching staff with Rex Ryan and they became instant friends as they both worked together on the defensive line. He was a member of the Ravens’ staff from 2002 through 2008. He left to become the Defensive Coordinator of the New York Jets when Rex Ryan (the Ravens’ DC) left to become the Head Coach of the New York Jets. Vikings RB, Albert Young Interview
Albert Young was an all-state all star for his high school football team in New Jersey. He then played college football for the University of Iowa. He totaled 660 attempts, 3173 yards, and 23 touchdowns during his time as a Hawkeye. After being undrafted in the 2008 NFL Draft, he was signed by the Vikings onto their practice squad. He is still on the Vikings roster, and has been active in preseason and regular season games. This interview was conducted before the 2010 regular season.
