Cardinals Rookie DB, Ronnie Yell Interview

Ronnie Yell, Arizona Cardinals defensive back, is fighting for a roster spot this year. He joins a crowded secondary, and a young NFL team looking for breakout players. Ronnie Yell played collegiately at San José State and earned playing time starting games as a true freshman. He totaled over 100 tackles and over 20 pass deflections in his career. He entered the 2013 NFL Draft, but went undrafted. He was quickly signed by the Arizona Cardinals and has since attended their rookie camp and is a now on their roster during 2013 Training Camp. Edgerrin James Youth Football Camp

When I heard about the Edgerrin James Football Camp in Ave Maria, Florida, I knew Pro Interviews had to take a 2 hour drive there and be in attendance. I have heard throughout the last few years that former Miami Hurricanes RB was a class act. I read an article that he continued to give back to his hometown of Immokalee and to underprivileged youth. In the past,  Edgerrin James paid for these free football camps and organized it, but he also continues giving something that has no dollar value. He gives his hometown his time.

Cardinals Punter, Dave Zastudil Interview

In 2012, Arizona Cardinals Punter, Dave Zastudil set a single-season record for most punts inside the 20 yard in NFL history with 46. In our interview, he discusses Larry Fitzgerald, “being the young guy”, Patrick Peterson, growing up and attending Browns games, and much more. Zastudil has been in the NFL since he was drafted in 2002 by the Baltimore Ravens. Chasing Destiny by Chris Stewart

Chris Stewart wrote an article about chasing his own destiny. Chris Stewart played for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish (2006-2010) as an offensive lineman. He was picked up as a UDFA by the New York Jets, but was cut before the preseason ended. He is currently on the Arizona Cardinals’ roster trying to make the 53-man team. CS wrote this article about the unique opportunity that he has received.

Dolphins DB, Nate Ness Interview

Nate Ness first played Junior College football at El Camino College where he recorded 19 interceptions and 8 touchdowns. He then, went on to play college football for the University of Arizona during 2007 and 2008. He totaled 97 tackles and 7 interceptions while he was at Arizona. He entered the 2009 NFL Draft, but went undrafted. He has been a member of numerous teams from the Browns to the Seahawks to the Jets and now, he’s on the Miami Dolphins roster. Jets Kicker, Nick Folk Interview

Nick Folk  played college football at the University of Arizona. He then entered the 2007 NFL Draft and was drafted in the 6th round by the Dallas Cowboys. During his rookie season, he earned both Pro Bowl and All-Pro recognition. He signed with the New York Jets after an interesting 2009 season. He has greatly improved his kicking since. This interview was done before the 2011 NFL season.

UFL Florida Tuskers C, Enoka Lucas Interview

Enoka Lucas played college football at the University of Oregon. He earned All Pac-10 honors during his junior and senior years. He was recognized as one of the best Pac-10 centers. He entered the 2007 NFL Draft, but went undrafted. He played for the Texans, Titans, and Cardinals. He was on the sideline during their Super Bowl appearance. He then played for the Florida Tuskers of the UFL for a couple of years, and became the starting center. He is now out of football. This interview was conducted shortly before the 2011 NFL season was over. Read more »

Retired Pro Bowl, All-Pro G, Alan Faneca Interview

Alan Faneca played guard for three years at LSU. He left early after totaling over 200 pancakes before his senior season. He entered the 1998 NFL Draft, and was selected 24th overall by the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was 1st-team All Pro and a Pro Bowl selection every year from 2001 through 2007. He helped lead them to a Super Bowl victory, and had a key pull block that sprung Willie Parker to a 75-yard touchdown run. He was a Pro Bowler with the New York Jets in 2008 and 2009. He had a brief stint with the Arizona Cardinals. [UPDATE: He retired with nine All-Pro awards, nine Pro Bowl awards, and one Super Bowl title.] Read more »
