I have been to training camps and games before, but I have never before covered an OTA. I had a lot to learn, and learn quickly. The way the Miami Dolphins practice is fast and intense. They have multiple players going head-to-head on different teams battling each other. The University of Miami Pro Day, Interviews Included
Back in the day, the University of Miami students would not take part in the NFL Combine. They would tell scouts to come watch them run drills in their backyard, at their school’s Pro Day. The U had a swagger about them. Today, with Head Coach Al Golden, the University of Miami is continuing to develop and mature football players down in Coral Gables. I attended my first ever Pro Day, and I was excited for the opportunity to talk to future stars in this league.

Cardinals LB, Ali Highsmith Interview
Ali Highsmith played college football for Louisiana State University. He was a Butkus award semifinalist during his junior and senior year. In 2007, he was First-Team All-SEC. He entered the 2008 NFL Draft, but went undrafted. He signed with the Arizona Cardinals, appearing in six games during his rookie season. In 2009, he signed with the practice squad. He most recently signed a future contract. This interview was conducted before the 2010 NFL season. [UPDATE: He was waived by the AZ Cardinals, and then signed with the San Diego Chargers.
