08/09/13 – Dolphins vs. Jaguars

Often times, the first preseason game, both teams go in “dry” or without a gameplan. This tactic really allows for coaches to find players who can “play football” and see who separates themselves from the entire pact of new members on the team. This is the Dolphins second game this week, and they started game-planning earlier in the week. However, after interviewing Jaguars players, they didn’t organize a game-plan. Before the beginning of the game, the Dolphins had the advantage, and the final score with Miami ahead, 27-3, reflected just that.

Rams Tackle, Joe Barksdale Interview

In the 2011 NFL Draft, LSU offensive tackle, Joe Barksdale was selected in the third round, 92nd overall by the Oakland Raiders. Joe Barskdale attended Louisiana State University from 2007 through 2010. He was second team all SEC during his senior season. He entered the 2011 NFL Draft and afterwards, he was picked up by the Raiders. He earned plenty of playing experience in his first year, however in his second year, he ended up signing with the St. Louis Rams. Check out our exclusive interview.

Jaguars Offensive Lineman, Will Rackley Interview

Will Rackley played high school football with current Bills offensive lineman, Cordy Glenn. He decided to continue his collegiate career at Lehigh University. He is one of few players in the school’s history to start every game in the four years. He earned First-Team All-Patriot League honors three times in college. He was selected 76th overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2011 NFL Draft. Rackley was part of an offensive line that helped Maurice Jones-Drew lead the NFL in rushing in 2011. Read more »

We’re Back! Bears Offensive Lineman, Derek Dennis Interview

Derek Dennis didn’t start playing football until he was a junior in high school. He ended up playing in 49 games in his career at Temple University. He earned 36 starts on the offensive line, and was signed by the Miami Dolphins after the NFL Draft. He recently just signed a futures’ contract with the Bears. Dennis talks about what it was like to be shown on the first episode of 2012 Miami Dolphins HBO’s Hard Knocks! Make sure you check it out, enjoy reading the first interview back from a little break. Redskins G, James Lee Interview

James Lee first went to the University of Georgia to play college football, but later transferred to the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference to play at South Carolina State. While he was at South Carolina State, he started 31 of 33 games. He entered the 2008 NFL Draft, but went undrafted and then signed with the Cleveland Browns. He was waived before the regular season, but was claimed and signed with the Buccaneers. He was a member of the Buccaneers from 2008-2011, playing eighteen games, with nine starts. He recently signed a contract with the Washington Redskins. This interview was done right after he signed with the Redskins.

CalU of Pennsylvania, NFL Draft Prospect, Seahawks OT, Rishaw Johnson Interview

Rishaw Johnson was a teammate of NY Giants DB, Chad Jones in high school after being forced to move because of Hurricane Katrina. He then went on to play at Ole Miss University. Due to what he calls ‘some big-time mistakes’, he was kicked off the football team in 2010. He then transferred to a DII powerhouse, CalU Pennsylvania. He started all twelve games this past season at Offensive Guard for CalU. He earned DII All-American also. He was invited to the NFL Scouting Combine. He entered the 2012 NFL Draft, but went undrafted. He signed a UDFA contract with the Seattle Seahawks. This interview was conducted before the 2012 NFL Draft.

Connecticut NFL Draft Prospect OT, Mike Ryan Interview

Mike Ryan went to University of Connecticut. While at UConn, he started 32 games, playing in 34. He was best known for his versatility and agility on the offensive line. In 2010, he was nominated to receive First-Team All Big-East honors, and in 2011, he received second-team All Big-East honors. He is known for his versatility on the offensive line, and can play both guard positions as well as both tackles. MR talks about everything he can in this exclusive interview. This interview was conducted before the 2012 NFL Draft. [UPDATE: He signed with the Cincinnati Bengals after the NFL Draft.]

Lehigh NFL Draft Prospect QB, Chris Lum Interview

Chris Lum played college football at Lehigh University. He started some games during his sophomore year, but took over officially as the starter for his junior and senior seasons. During his senior season, he had a 68% pass completion, and accumulated 4090 yards, 32 touchdowns, and only 15 interceptions and led Lehigh to a 10-2 record. He was the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year this past year. He’s getting looks at from many NFL teams. He is entering the 2012 NFL Draft, and his draft stock has risen in recent months. This interview was conducted before the 2012 NFL Draft.

North Alabama NFL Draft Prospect, OT, Daron Rose Interview

Daron Rose went to Florida State University and played in two games in 2006 (freshman year). And in 2007, he started eleven out of thirteen games. In 2008, he had to sit out from playing football and then in 2009, he attended the ASA Institute in Brooklyn, New York. He transferred to Northern Alabama in 2010 and started six games during his junior year. And last year, he started all 12 games in the season and didn’t surrender one sack. He declared for the 2012 NFL Draft, and is considered a sleeper offensive tackle.

Jaguars G, Uche Nwaneri Interview

Uche Nwaneri played college football at Purdue University. He then entered the 2007 NFL Draft and was drafted in the 5th round. He has remained with the Jaguars since 2007. He has started 61 games in his career, and taken part in 73 total games. Nwaneri is considered the best offensive guards in recent Jacksonville Jaguars’ history. Former NFL OL, Everett Lindsay Interview

Everett Lindsay played college football at Ole Miss. He earned 1st-Team All American Honors during his junior and senior year. He entered the 1993 NFL Draft, and was selected in the 5th round by the Vikings. He started his career playing for the Vikings, the Ravens, and the Browns, and then ended his career again with the Vikings. He played in 138 games and started 63 games during his time in the NFL. Undrafted Free Agent, Former Texas Southern University, TE Jonathan Hannah Interview

Jonathan Hannah first played college football for Florida State University, but then transferred to play for Texas Southern University. His best game in college came where he had 9 receptions for 135 yards and 2 touchdowns. In 2009, he totaled 30 receptions, 425 yards, and 3 touchdowns. He entered the 2010 NFL Draft, but went undrafted and he actually never got the chance to sign with an NFL team. This interview was conducted a month after the NFL Draft. Read more »
