Vikings WR, Freddie Brown Interview

Freddie Brown played wide receiver for the University of Utah. He was very productive during his senior season accumulating 77 receptions, 900 yards, and 7 touchdowns. He entered the 2009 NFL Draft, and was selected 224th overall by the Cincinnati Bengals. He made the Bengals practice squad during his rookie season. Chargers WR, Ernest Smith Interview

Ernest Smith played wide receiver for Baylor University. After earning playing time throughout his four years at Baylor, ES entered the 2010 NFL Draft, but went undrafted. He signed with the San Diego Chargers after the NFL Draft. [UPDATE: He was waived by the San Diego Chargers during the 2010 NFL preseason and has been out of the NFL since.] Read more »

Bears DT, Tommie Harris Interview

Tommie Harris played college football at Oklahoma University. He was a complete stud and then, he entered the 2004 NFL Draft and was selected 14th overall by the Chicago Bears. He was a member of the Bears from 2004 through 2010 compiling approximately 25 sacks, 200 tackles, and about 30 tackles for loss. This interview was conducted before the 2010 NFL season. [UPDATE: Since he was cut by the Bears, he signed with the Indianapolis Colts. After that, he was cut and then signed with the San Diego Chargers. He was recently cut by the Chargers.] Read more »

Chargers RB, Curtis Brinkley Interview

Curtis Brinkley played college football for Syracuse University. He was an all star running back for the Orange. He entered the 2009 NFL Draft, but went undrafted. He signed with the San Diego Chargers, and didn’t end up making the final roster. He then signed with the Chargers’ practice squad. Throughout his rookie season he mixed between the active 53-man roster and practice squad. [UPDATE: He has earned more playing time as he career has gone on. Cardinals LB, Ali Highsmith Interview

Ali Highsmith played college football for Louisiana State University. He was a Butkus award semifinalist during his junior and senior year. In 2007, he was First-Team All-SEC. He entered the 2008 NFL Draft, but went undrafted. He signed with the Arizona Cardinals, appearing in six games during his rookie season. In 2009, he signed with the practice squad. He most recently signed a future contract. This interview was conducted before the 2010 NFL season. [UPDATE: He was waived by the AZ Cardinals, and then signed with the San Diego Chargers. Former NFL WR, Samie Parker Interview

Samie Parker played college football for the University of Oregon. He was one of Kellen Clemens’ favorite wide receiver targets, and was known as a tremendous deep threat. He entered the 2004 NFL Draft, and was selected in the 4th round by the Kansas City Chiefs. SP played four seasons with the Chiefs, and then bounced around the NFL with different teams. He also played in the AFL for the Chicago Rush. [UPDATE: In 2010 and 2011, he also played in the United Football League (UFL) for the Las Vegas Locomotives.] Read more »

Lions Special Teams Ace, Isaiah Ekejiuba Interview

Isaiah Ekejiuba never played high school football, and only tried college football for the University of Virginia when he was first approached to try out for the team during his sophomore year. He had an immediate impact for the Cavaliers on Special Teams. He entered the 2005 NFL Draft, and signed as a UDFA with the Cardinals, but was cut. He then signed with the Oakland Raiders, and after a few weeks on the practice squad, he was promoted to the active roster. He played on Special Teams and in 2009, he was nominated to become a Pro Bowl alternate. [UPDATE: He was cut by the Raiders in the 2010 NFL offseason. He signed with the Detroit Lions.] Read more »

Former Browns WR, Lance Leggett Interview

Lance Leggett played college football for the University of Miami. He had about 85 receptions, 1379 yards, and 11 touchdowns. He entered the 2008 NFL Draft, but went undrafted. He signed with the Cleveland Browns, and played in the preseason a little bit both in 2008 and 2009. This interview was conducted before the 2010 NFL season. Steelers RB, Jonathan Dwyer Interview

Jonathan Dwyer played college football for Georgia Tech. He was an All-American in 2008, and nominated as the ACC Player of the Year in 2008. He rushed for about 3000 yards in three years of college football. He attended the NFL Combine, after deciding to forgo his senior season, and entered the 2010 NFL Draft, and was selected in the 6th round by the Pittsburgh Steelers. Jets QB, Erik Ainge Interview

Erik Ainge played Quarterback for four years for the University of Tennessee. He was an all star running back for the Orange. He entered the 2008 NFL Draft, and was selected in the 5th round, 162nd overall by the New York Jets. He played in the preseason for the Jets in 2008 and 2009. He was their backup quarterback. Walter McFadden played college football for Auburn University. He started off playing Special Teams, but then became the starting cornerback for the Tigers. Dominic Douglas played college football for Mississippi State University. DD entered the 2009 NFL Draft, but actually went undrafted. He signed a UDFA contract with the St. Louis Rams after the draft. He made the practice squad player and remained there all year. He then was cut by the St. Louis Rams in 2010. Dolphins WR, Brian Hartline Interview

Brian Hartline played wide receiver for the Ohio State University for three years. He was very productive throughout his time there. He entered the 2009 NFL Draft, and was selected in the 4th round by the Miami Dolphins. During his rookie season, he totaled 31 receptions for 506 yards and three touchdowns. Undrafted Free Agent, Former Texas Southern University, TE Jonathan Hannah Interview

Jonathan Hannah first played college football for Florida State University, but then transferred to play for Texas Southern University. His best game in college came where he had 9 receptions for 135 yards and 2 touchdowns. In 2009, he totaled 30 receptions, 425 yards, and 3 touchdowns. Joe Burnett played college football for the University of Central Florida. He played cornerback but also took over duties returning punts starting as a freshman and continuing throughout his senior season. He entered the 2009 NFL Draft, and was selected in the 5th round by the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played in the preseason with the Steelers and showed promise as a rookie.
