I have been to training camps and games before, but I have never before covered an OTA. I had a lot to learn, and learn quickly. The way the Miami Dolphins practice is fast and intense. They have multiple players going head-to-head on different teams battling each other. Even with the speed, it was hard to not notice, that if a coach were teaching a player, he would immediately slow down and tell the player what to do, and how to do. Read more
Amari Spievey played college football at the University of Iowa in the Big Ten. He had problems at school that he had take care of and went to Iowa Central Community College. He transferred back to Iowa, and finished up playing his sophomore and junior year there. He entered the 2010 NFL Draft and was drafted in the 3rd round, 66th overall by the Detroit Lions. He became a contributor on special teams early in his career, and then last year, he was their starting safety for the entire season. This was done in March 2012.
Felton Huggins played college football at Southeastern Louisiana. FH entered the 2006 NFL Draft, but actually went undrafted most likely because of the small school that he attended. He was a member of the Buffalo Bills from 2007 through 2009. He has recorded one TD in preseason games. He was placed on injured reserve early in the season. He has yet to make his break in the NFL. Marlon Moore played college football at Fresno State University. He totaled 90 receptions, 1374 yards, and 10 touchdowns throughout his college career. He entered the 2010 NFL Draft, but went undrafted. He signed with the Dolphins and totaled 6 receptions, 128 yards, and 1 touchdown during his rookie season. Christian Okoye grew up in Nigeria and never played youth football. He played collage football at Azusa Pacific (D3) school. He entered the 1987 NFL Draft, and was drafted 35th overall by the Chiefs. He played in the NFL for Marty Schottenheimer from 1987 to 1992, and totaled over 5000 yards and 40 touchdowns in his career. He made the Pro Bowl in 1989 and 1991. Check out our great interview!
Usama Young played college football at Kent State. He entered the 2007 NFL Draft and was selected in the 3rd round by the Saints. He was victorious in his lone Super Bowl appearance in 2009. While he was with the Saints, he totaled 105 tackles, 14 pass deflections, and three interceptions. This interview was conducted briefly after the 2010 NFL season.
