134 : NFL Pro Interview : Rishaw Johnson
Rishaw Johnson was a teammate of NY Giants DB, Chad Jones in high school after being forced to move because of Hurricane Katrina. He then went on to play at Ole Miss University. Due to what he calls ‘some big-time mistakes’, he was kicked off the football team in 2010. He then transferred to a DII powerhouse, CalU Pennsylvania. He started all twelve games this past season at Offensive Guard for CalU. He earned DII All-American also. He was invited to the NFL Scouting Combine. He entered the 2012 NFL Draft, but went undrafted. He signed a UDFA contract with the Seattle Seahawks.
115 : NFL Pro Interview : Andre Reed
Andre Reed was a member of the Buffalo Bills from 1985 through 1999. Throughout his time in the NFL, he recorded 951 receptions, 13,198 yards, and 87 touchdowns. He was nominated to the Pro Bowl for seven straight years from 1988-1994. He also made four Super Bowl appearances. He is currently 1 of 15 finalists for the Hall of Fame Class of 2012. Joel Gamble played for D2 college called Shippensburg University up until the 2004 season. He entered the 2005 NFL Draft, but went undrafted. He wasn’t offered a chance to play for an NFL team until he was given a chance four years later. He earned his first chance with the Eagles, then the Browns and Titans.

Strauss : What was it like to make the 53-man roster on opening day?
Curry : It was a great feeling to make the 53 man roster… Something that I dreamed about for years!
Strauss : Can you take me through how you got open to make the block against the Redskins?
Curry : The block happened during the 3rd game of the season. It was a great feeling. For me to make a game changing play like that, it felt good.
Strauss : How has the rehab gone for your injury?
Curry : Rehab is going well, I will be ready to go for next season.
Strauss : If you could meet anyone, who would it be and why?
Curry : Jerry Rice, because I would like to know how he made such a transition from a small school to the NFL.
Strauss : Who was your childhood star?
Curry : Both Jerry Rice and Michael Jordan.
Strauss : What is your favorite type of pie?
Curry : Sweet Potato Pie
Strauss : What is your favorite TV-Show?
Curry : Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
Strauss : What is your favorite video game?
Curry : The Madden Series.
Strauss : How long have you played football?
Curry : Since I was eleven years old.
Strauss : Did you play any other sports in high school?
Curry : I also played basketball and ran track and field.
Strauss : What is your favorite sport to play other than football?
Curry : Basketball, my father played basketball when I was growing up and my aunt was a Kodak All American in basketball.
Strauss : Describe the changes between high school football and college football.
Curry : Waking up early and going to classes
Strauss : What is your best memory from Cheyney University?
Curry : Hmm, playing in the HBCU Basketball Classic. Cheyney University vs. Lincoln University.
Strauss : Describe the changes between college and the NFL.
Curry : Adjusting to the speed and understanding the playbook.
Strauss : If you weren’t playing in the NFL (or after retirement), what would you want to do?
Curry : A Geographical Information Specialist or a Personal Trainer.
Strauss : What is an experience you have had that changed your life?
Curry : The birth of my son, Dom Jr.
Strauss : For someone aspiring to play football in the NFL, do you have any advice for them?
Curry : Work hard, because it really does pay off!
